5-6th Grade Requirements:
Students complete a short test asking students to:
- Recite the Ten Commandments
- Recite Matthew 22:37-40
- Complete statements about salvation, using the New Testament scriptures
- Answer a few questions about Gladys Alyward
7-8th Grade Requirements:
In a 1-2 paged typed essay (12 pt font, 1-inch margins) identify the key events from Genesis to the time of Jesus, and briefly describe God's sovereign purpose for each event.
9-10th Grade Requirements:
Read Mark 4:35-5:43. List every instance where faith and fear show up in the same story and then describe the relationship between faith and fear. Your essay must be 1-2 typed pages, double spaced, 12 pt font, and 1-inch margins.
11-12th Grade Requirements:
Write a 1-2 typed paged essay (double spaced, 12 pt font, and 1-inch margins)answering this question: How does the author of the Hebrews argue his case for Christ's superiority over Judaism?

Students need to be able to recite the ten commandments and Matthew 22:37-40. They will also be asked to complete statements about salvation using New Testament scriptures, and to answer three questions regarding Gladys Alyward.

- Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis of those who satisfactorily meet the requirements. Tests or essays should be submitted to Pastor Phil by June 9.
- Scholarships for camps will be issued to students when a copy of camp registration has been submitted. Scholarships for the bike trip, Adventure program or day camps will be sent directly to the YFC office.
- Scholarships for youth trips/retreats will be submitted to the MSBC youth group. Scholarships must be used by April 1, 2014.
- Unused scholarships should be returned to the church treasurer within two weeks of the intended event.
